Breaking views: Statistics when used sans sensitivity can be most hurtful 

This Doctor was 200%  sure and assured  the family that the operation will be successful and when asked about the source of his confidence , he said "It's simple statistics you see, In this hospital  9 out of 10 cases of patients die soon after the operation and your patient is the 10th and naturally everyone here is quite upbeat ..... "

That was a sad representation of statistics and if you thought it was sick you can’t be mistaken for this   

Last night I was listening to the news channel discussing about the Rape incidents in UP and I was shocked to hear the state government party spokesperson pulling out statistics of how the number of rape cases has drastically come down as compared to the earlier regime and should not be a matter of high concern; besides...... Can there be more shocking and appalling manifestation of utter insensitivity...

This callousness and insolence deserves nothing short of unanimous social condemnation.
